What does GETMILK do?
GETMILK maps European contract manufacturers and matches a product specification against that registry. You upload a datasheet, a bill of materials, or a product link, and it returns an analysis of what the product is and how it is made, a shortlist of manufacturers who can make it with the processes each one covers, and a 90-day action plan to first batch.
Where is GETMILK based?
GETMILK is based in Porto, Portugal, and the registry starts there: 2,127+ active Portuguese producers are mapped so far, with the rest of Europe following.
Which countries does the registry cover?
Portugal is mapped in depth and is the country every figure on the site refers to unless stated otherwise. The underlying table also holds producers in Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, the UK and elsewhere, but those are not yet at the same depth, which is why counts are scoped to Portugal rather than reported Europe-wide.
Which manufacturing processes can it match?
CNC machining and turning, injection moulding, sheet metal, die casting, laser cutting, PCB fabrication, SMT and through-hole assembly, cable and wire-harness assembly, composite layup, welding, 3D printing, anodising and powder coating, testing and inspection, final assembly and packaging, among others.
How does GETMILK decide which manufacturers to shortlist?
Each required process is matched against the registry's capability rows and scored on material fit, tolerance grade, order volume and certifications. The shortlist is then ranked by coverage first and score second, so a producer covering three of four required steps outranks a higher-scoring specialist covering one.
Is the manufacturer data verified?
Records carry a validation status and a research pass, and coverage figures count distinct producers per process rather than capability rows. It is a research registry, not a certification body — the shortlist is a starting point for your own qualification, not a guarantee.
Does GETMILK have an API or MCP server?
Yes. GETMILK speaks the Model Context Protocol so an agent can query the supplier graph directly rather than scraping pages, which is the same argument the blog makes for manufacturers building their own MCP servers.
What does it cost to be listed as a manufacturer?
Nothing. Being in the registry is free — it is how buyers find you. Get in touch with what you make and at what tolerance.
