Public transport operators face a crucial need to protect passengers, employees, infrastructure, and assets against possible threats, while optimizing the passengers experience and ensuring operations run smoothly, now and in the future. Challenges Improve safety and security keep passengers safe and the infrastructure secure Monitor critical areas respond quickly to potential threats and manage incidents Support the business increase operational efficiency and understand passenger needs Bosch security solutions for railway and metro Video analytics to detect unsafe crowd behavior Video analytics to detect unsafe crowd behavior Unusual behavior can indicate a preliminary stage of an unsafe situation. To prevent incidents, it is important to recognize this behavior in advance and monitor the crowd or individuals concerned. Intelligent security cameras continually evaluate real-time footage, and if necessary, alert security personnel. The cameras are equipped with built-in video analytics and can generate an alert in case something “of normal” is happening, e.g. large crowds are gathering, people are walking into the wrong direction on an escalator, crowd is moving towards a closed area or the end of the platform etc. Alarms can also trigger the cameras to automatically track an object of interest and dynamically adjust the field of view, providing visual information to the control room. Early response prevents an event from escalating. Automated surveillance and alarm management Automated surveillance and alarm management An operator at a station is usually managing hundreds of cameras during a shift, while permanently watching video streams. An incident can easily be missed. Also searching through recorded video to locate and evaluate events after an incident, can take hours. By using IP cameras with analytics, incidents can be automatically detected which will help the operators with making decisions and release them from intensive video monitoring. Intelligent cameras enable fast searches by recording metadata of objects within, entering, or leaving an area, and storing it with the video images. By defining parameters, such as unsafe behavior, over-crowding of spaces or blocked exits, operators can narrow their searches to relevant incidents enabling a much faster response. Smart control room Smart control room Video footage contains a lot of useful data for railway or metro stations, if they are able to process it. Operators in a control room are receive hundreds of video feeds every day and can easily miss important scenes. Intelligent cameras turn data into relevant situational alerts, which are transmitted to operators’ screens . A smart control room will collect data over a longer time. This helps to better understand the scene the operator is watching like: is this scene busy as usually or not? Or is this area going to be busy within a certain time frame? Collecting data over time helps to understand what is happening in which area in a station like identifying hot spots with long queues. By gaining more insights on the operations at the train or metro station, weak spots will become more clear and counter measures can be implemented. Bosch safety solutions for railway and metro Get the message across Get the message across There are different reasons for streaming voice messages at a railway or metro station, it could be an operational announcement like a platform change, a commercial advertisement or an evacuation. In all cases the message needs to be understood by the passengers. Public Address (PA) solutions are available to make announcements both station-wide and within specific areas, like platforms. Active speakers cover a range up to 50 meters, while beam steering devices precisely insonify an area of just a few square meters in front of a platform. The systems are flexible and increase/decrease sound levels in environments with loud/low ambient noise, provide control over a small and very specific area or can also address the full station if necessary. Providing travelers with clear information on last minute changes, putts people at ease and makes them feel safe. In emergencies, automatic warnings and announcements can help defuse tense situations. A reliable, public address system is therefore essential for clear announcements and improves the passenger’s experience. Steering crowds during emergencies Steering crowds during emergencies If an emergency breaks out at a station, large crowds could become hard to control. If panic arises in a crowd, the danger exponentially increases. In case of an emergency the voice alarm system sends out prerecorded messages in multiple languages, thereby helping to manage the flow of people and ensure a safe evacuation—even in noisy train or metro stations. These threats will always occur in a certain area. In all situations, the most efficient way to evacuate is via phased evacuation. The most urgent priority areas are therefore evacuated first. Bosch operations solutions for railway and metro Parking management Parking management By taking a data-driven approach, stations can improve their parking services, thereby optimizing the passenger experience and increasing their revenues. Cameras equipped with video-analytics algorithms recognize unoccupied parking spots reliably. This data can be transferred to a service that informs passengers of available spaces. At the same time, the cameras maintain the security of vehicles in the area using surveillance, which detects such unwanted events as loitering car thieves, wrong-way driving, objects left behind, and congestion. Operators gain valuable insights from video analytics data that easily converts to dashboards for making intelligent business decisions. Support frequent traveler Support frequent traveler The increasing number of passengers in public transport can cause queues at turnstiles on train or metro stations, where everybody has to swipe their boarding passes to a reader. By applying facial recognition, passengers with valid travel passes (monthly or annual tickets), can be identified, offering them access to fast-lanes without having to show their ticket. Using facial recognition to identify frequent travelers, increases the overall capacity of the turnstiles, lower the waiting times, reduce the queues and increase passenger experience. Tunnel and track surveillance Tunnel and track surveillance Unauthorized persons near the rail tracks are a major risk for railway infrastructure. As every – even a very short – interruption of the operation is causing a lot problems to the operator. Early detection of these incidents can be challenging for operators monitoring standard raw video, and they can miss important scenes. With built-in video analytics, however, metadata add sense and structure to video images. Persons and objects can be detected in video footage, even when hiding in dark areas. Built-in infrared illuminators detect objects up to 550 meters away, and thermal images allow detection of suspects hiding, for example, in bushes. When a person approaches the tracks for example, cameras automatically follow them across the trackside to support intervention over long distances. Multiple objects can also be displayed on a map, showing their location, size, and speed to enable quick intervention. This avoids delays and minimizes costs. Overview of our railway and metro solutions A global railway and metro security partner The Thameslink infrastructure improvement program was the biggest railway upgrade since Victorian times. Through the multi-billion pound scheme, the location is now home to around 900 of Building Technologies’ latest connected cameras, all fully integrated into the highly-sophisticated station management system. (2019). The Helsinki Metro is the major transit hub in Finland’s largest metropolitan region and the world’s northernmost metro system. Every year, 63 million passengers rely on the safe and efficient Helsinki Regional Transport Authority rail system, secured by Bosch. (2017). The legacy analogue surveillance system had come to the end of its service life and was overdue for an upgrade. A state of the art IP based system was required to deliver upon the clients requirements for all the depots to be fully monitored 24/7. An upgrade to an IP camera solution can provide vastly improved image quality, wider coverage and wireless capability, along with Intelligent Video Analytics and high levels of data security encryption. Chaired by Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, the five-day summit at Suntec Convention Centre featured representatives from China, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, Canada, Australia, the Philippines and the United States, among others. Dignitaries in attendance included Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. With important issues on the agenda, simultaneous interpretation between 12 languages for all 1,300 attendants was a key to success during the five-day event. Responding to the requirements for each of the four different meeting rooms, the experts deployed a total of 31 DICENTIS Discussion devices with touchscreen, 36 DICENTIS Wireless discussion devices with touchscreen and 33 DCN Conference devices with language selector. For the language interpreters provided by the government institution, 56 DCN Interpreter desks offered a familiar technology platform. This set-up allowed Congress Rental technicians to equip each meeting between world leaders as the situation required. For instance, higher-level meetings held in the two plenary meeting rooms on level 4 of the venue could be supported either by DICENTIS Discussion devices or DICENTIS Wireless discussion devices, depending on the conference day and how much transition time was available to change the set-up for the next meeting. For the fastest build-up and break-down, the best choice proved to be DICENTIS Wireless devices paired with INTEGRUS Pocket receivers and headphones pre-set to the listener’s preferred language. Several of the meetings during the five-day event ran at the same time, so Congress Rental decided to centralize its simultaneous interpretation capabilities. In a central location, 28 temporary booths were set up, each equipped with two DCN Interpreter desks. From there, interpreters delivered live interpretation to delegates in the plenary meeting rooms and summit attendees in the listening room on level 3. More than 1,300 INTEGRUS Pocket receivers were available in the listening room, where attendees could follow proceedings in any of the 12 languages used at the event. At the same time, automatic camera control tracked the interactions between world leaders in the plenary meeting rooms, which attendees could watch live on the installed TV screens on level 3. Via the user control software on the backend, the digital system from Bosch provided Congress Rental Singapore with valuable data on microphone usage and interpreter performance, plus a chance to address potential issues in real time, which was highly valued by the summit managers. Overall, the combination of hands-on support and flexible technology platform proved a success: The over 1,300 participants of the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits enjoyed a productive event accompanied by seamless interpretation in twelve languages. In addition, the solution was dismantled and ready to be redeployed at the next high-level conference only a few hours later. “I have continually received nothing less than complete admiration and the highest appreciation for the way simultaneous interpretation services were managed, and for the performance and quality of the attending Congress Rental staff” said Chris Jackson, ASEAN, Australia Special Taskforce. City streets and sidewalks are becoming more congested, while connected and autonomous technologies in vehicles are increasing. Safety concerns like these pose a significant challenge for city planners and senior traffic engineers to improve mobility, safety, and efficient use of roadways now and in the future. Benefits Smarter Provide better insights and information for data-driven decision making with Video Analytics built-in to Bosch IP cameras Safer Keep roadways flowing safely and efficiently with video-as-a-sensor technology enabled by true \"edge\" analytics More Sustainable Improve and maintain traffic management systems with camera-generated analytics data and via partnerships with highway information solution providers Use cases for traffic-related challenges The power of integrated security solutions for ITS is available whether you choose a complete solution from us, or combine our technology with software from one of our partners. Automatic incident detection Improve mobility and safety with analytics-driven video solutions Intelligent IP cameras deliver automatic incident detection enabling Traffic Management Center (TMC) operators to quickly react to events such as congestion, a stopped vehicle, fire or smoke in hard to see areas, or a wrong-way driver. Automated incident alerts give operators improved situational awareness to reduce disruption times, which is especially valuable for emergency response vehicles. Beyond incident detection, camera analytics and metadata enable the ability to collect and aggregate data – helping you understand traffic patterns, congestion points, and more. Camera-generated analytics data facilitates solutions like historical data dashboards for making intelligent business decisions. Read more about automatic incident detection Smart intersections Keep traffic moving with effective analytics, detection, and data With distracted pedestrians, more bicyclists, and an increase in public transportation in urban environments, it is essential to implement strategies for improved safety. Additionally, congestion from vehicles and pedestrians when traffic volumes are high creates inefficiencies that result in user delay and frustration, and increases environmental emissions. Built-in video analytics at the edge allows cameras to become intelligent devices that can alert to safety risks and give operators improved awareness of busy intersections. Machine learning also enables customized solutions to solve the specific needs of cities and transportation departments. Camera analytics and metadata enable the ability to collect and aggregate data – helping you understand traffic patterns, congestion points, and more. Camera-generated analytics data facilitates solutions like historical data dashboards for making intelligent business decisions. Watch video Read more about using video-as-a-sensor for smart intersections Smart corridors Detect safety events and send real-time alerts to keep roadways flowing When traffic congestion increases on roadways during peak times, it's essential to know about safety risks as early as possible to take action quickly. Congestion also leads to an increase in environmental emissions. Cameras act as intelligent sensors to report issues affecting the safety of motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The cameras enable the collection of data for analysis, facilitating data-driven decision-making for smart corridor and enhanced safety applications. Through partnerships with highway information solution providers, cameras can trigger third-party systems to notify drivers on the road, improving situational awareness and enabling them to take action earlier. For example, automated triggers to dynamic message signs and dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) broadcast messages for smart vehicles and early incident detection and mitigation, help first responders to intervene more quickly, and avoid secondary accidents. Read customer story here Intelligent parking Help drivers find open parking faster and reduce traffic congestion and emissions In busy cities, Video Analytics can help monitor parking lot occupancy and curbside parking, as well as enforce no-parking zones. In lots, cameras can count the number of open spaces, specialized spots – such as those for people with disabilities or electric vehicles – or track ingress and egress, and relay this data to the video and parking management systems. Cameras can trigger third-party systems to share alternative parking locations on a dynamic message sign so drivers can find open parking faster to get off the road, reducing traffic congestion and emissions. Operators gain valuable insights from video analytics data that easily converts to dashboards for making intelligent business decisions. The new standard warranty period on all our fixed optical cameras and the fixed parts of our moving cameras is five years. Next to that all Bosch motion detectors come with a standard 5-year warranty. Five years manufacturer warranty on IP cameras and motion detectors Five years manufacturer warranty on IP cameras and motion detectors Trust is one of our fundamental principles and lays the foundation for all we do. So, you can count on our products working as expected throughout their lifetime. That's the reason we increased the standard warranty period on all our fixed optical cameras and the fixed parts of our moving cameras from three to five years. This new worry-free standard warranty, in effect as of November 1, 2021, affirms our ongoing commitment to deliver the best products at every level. Previous warranty conditions, including the two-year warranty extension, remain valid for IP cameras purchased before November 1, 2021. Next to that all Bosch motion detectors come with a standard 5-year warranty. BOOST warranty extension available for most of the Bosch Security and Safety Systems product portfolio extends your coverage further. Warranty period Accordingly, this means warranties can be extended: by 12 months (one year), from three to four years, by ordering the respective warranty extension CTN once. by 24 months (two years), from three to five years, by ordering the respective warranty extension CTN twice. An extension beyond five years total warranty is not possible. Your easy way to get the BOOST warranty extension for your products. Project order The end-user orders a security, safety, or communication solution, including optional warranty extension. The system integrator (SI) makes a system design with a bill of material and orders the required products and warranty extension from his distributor (DI). For selected accounts, the SI might order directly from Bosch. Product delivery Products are shipped from DI’s warehouse (or directly by Bosch). The DI orders warranty extension from Bosch. Note: Even though the SI places one single order to the DI, the DI might not order the products and the warranty extension together. The SI installs and commissions the products. Warranty extension registration The SI forwards the product serial numbers for warranty extension registration to DI (or directly to Bosch). The serial numbers are registered by Bosch. Note: On prior request, Bosch can provide the serial numbers of all products shipped by Bosch. The DI might request the SI to confirm the serial numbers and shipping date to ensure that these are the products actually installed for the project. The warranty starts on the shipping date to the end customer. Warranty extension certificate Bosch sends a warranty extension certificate to the DI. The certificate documents and confirms the serial numbers and the extended warranty start date and period. The DI forwards the certificate to the SI. The SI forwards the certificate to the end customer. Two ways of order warranty extension We offer you both options for extending the warranty. Simultaneously with the purchase of the products or later, after the products were purchased at an earlier time. 01 Order warranty extension together with products Warranty extension is ordered together in the same purchase order as the new hardware product (camera). All cameras of the specific order shall be extended. Cameras that shall not be extended are preferably ordered separately. However, if ordered together, the customer must provide information (product model and amount) about the products which shall be extended. Serial number and purchase date identification is simple and straightforward. By default, the serial numbers of the shipped products are tracked and used for the warranty extension. The order date of the warranty extension and of the ordered products are identical. 02 Order the extended warranty afterwards Warranty extension is ordered in a separate order for products purchased at an earlier point of time. Note: Product item (serial number) must still be in the regular warranty period and the product model (CTN) is still in production. Order may include no camera or a mix of cameras that shall be extended and cameras that shall not be extended or only warranty extensions. The CTNs, serial numbers of the products to be extended and the date of purchase of these products must be provided as additional information together with the order for the warranty extension. (This additional information may be provided by the distributor or system integrator based on their own records.) Note: Serial numbers of IP cameras can be downloaded from an installed system with the Bosch Video Config Manager. Warranty extension cannot be ordered if the product item (serial number) is already out of warranty or if production of the product model (CTN) was already discontinued. Once the regular ‘new product’ warranty has expired, we only offer chargeable repair b. We do NOT offer warranty extension anymore. Answers to frequently asked questions When does the Bosch product warranty start? The product warranty starts on the date of handover to the customer. This is the date on the invoice. How is the warranty start date determined? To submit a valid warranty claim, the customer needs to provide a 'Proof of Purchase' (PoP). This PoP ususally is an invoice that shows the date of the purchase and the serial number of the product purchased. The PoP is not required if the product was manufactured less than three years before the warranty calim. The production date will automatically be identified from the serial number of the product. What services are offered when the warranty is already expired? Once the warranty is expired, service and support is still available as long as the product is still available and in production. Even after the end of production of a specific product, service and support is usually still available for a period of five years and in some cases even longer. Depending on the product we offer either chargeable repair, replacement products and / or spare parts for products that have a hardware failure. Also software and firmware updates are still offered. For more details please take a look at our service and support policies. When can I order warranty extension? Warranty extension can be ordered together (on the same order number as the new product, recommended) or at a later point in time if the product item (serial number is still in warranty) and the product model (CTN) is still in production. Where do I order warranty extension? You can order warranty extension at the same place as you order products. Direct customer order at the Bosch order desk, indirect customer order at their distributors. What is required to order warranty extension? To order warranty extension, the CTN, the serial number and the purchase date (invoice date) of the product that shall be extended are required as additional information. Where can I find the CTN, the serial number and the purchase date of a specific product? CTN and serial number are printed on the product label CTN and serial number can be downloaded from an existing installation using the Bosch Config Manager the Bosch order desk can support to retrieve serial numbers and shipping date of products based on the Bosch order number that is printed on the invoice CTN and serial number and shipping date might be documented in the IT-system of the distributor or in the customer documentation created by the system integrator As an end user, where can I order warranty extension? End users can order warranty extension at any Bosch partner. This does not need to be the same partner where the product was initially purchased. A list of certified Bosch partner is provided by the Bosch local sales office. What is the maximum warranty period? The maximum warranty period is five years. Products with a three year warranty can be extended by a maximum of two years. For this reason alone, fire alarm systems make an important contribution to sustainability. But other aspects such as durability, flexibility or remote monitoring also ensure that Bosch systems protect the climate and resources. Can fire alarm systems boost sustainability? YES. By preventing emissions, conserving resources and saving energy. Preventing emissions Fires always contribute to air pollution. Emissions include particulate matter, smoke and soot particles. It becomes even more dangerous when materials burn and release emissions extremely harmful to the environment and health. Bosch fire alarm systems play an important role in preventing the spread of fires in buildings and facilities all over the world – with high reliability and speed. In challenging environments such as industrial sites or the waste and recycling industry a video-based fire detection solution brings additional advantages. The unpredictable combination of materials and substances in these sites and the conditions and operational activities make them hazardous environments with continual high fire risks. Small button batteries, aerosol cans, remnants of cosmetic or cleaning products, cigarette lighters or broken gadgets form a dangerous mix. The flames are likely to be fed continuously by the waste itself and dry, dusty conditions on ignition. This allows fires to spread over a wide area within minutes, posing a danger to life and the environment with the flames toxic billowing smoke from burning chemicals or materials. AVIOTEC fire and smoke detection cameras are perfectly adapted to the conditions at production facilities with large storage areas. They keep constant watch for the first signs of flames or smoke – day and night, outdoors and indoors. This allows swift fire and smoke detection and thus also prevents harmful emissions . Conserving resources Whether recycling materials, goods, technical equipment or entire buildings, fire alarm systems help to conserve valuable assets . In the case of Bosch solutions, however, the mindful use of resources is also evident throughout the entire life cycle of these systems. They are designed to be backwards compatible . This means that existing infrastructure that is still functioning well can be integrated and continue to be used. The durable design of all components creates the basis for a very long service life even under harsh operating conditions. This is ensured by decades of R&D experience and extensive testing in own labs beyond normative requirements. The upward compatibility and openness of the systems make it possible to add new technology, extensions and replacements to existing installations as requirements change. This safeguards the installation and supports its longevity . Saving energy and CO 2 Until now, the installation, maintenance, and updates of fire panels and peripherals all had to be done on-site. Fire safety system integrators frequently traveled as part of their regular workdays and thus also produced CO 2 year after year. Thanks to the Internet of Things (IoT), much time, energy and emissions can be saved . Secured cloud-based data storage with continual access means system integrators can conduct many of their regular fire safety services for every customer, across multiple sites, from afar . The magnitude of this effect is shown by the example of a chemical plant in Londrina, in southern Brazil. This hazardous environment produces highly flammable and combustible products, such as fertilizers. The business location of their fire safety system integrator is 520 km away. From this distance, the company provides 100% uptime, full-time monitoring of events, and fast response to any failures – thanks to Bosch Remote Services. With a fully IP-based architecture, Dicentis is built on open standards to enable the highest degree of flexibility, superior audio performance for up to 100 languages, and the most powerful security protection on the market, to safeguard sensitive data throughout the conference chain. The meetings both had a requirement for ISO 20109 equipment to ensure seamless and reliable operation. This made Dicentis the obvious choice for Romanian Congress Rental Network partner Conference Systems, who supplied the equipment at both events. Encouraging debate While the agendas and locations for the two meetings were different, their conferencing needs were similar. As such, the Dicentis discussion device with touchscreen was the main component of both systems. Featuring a 4.3” capacitive touch screen and built in NFC reader for fast recognition of participants, the devices are configurable for single participants, dual users, or a chairperson, making them a flexible solution that was ideal to address the needs of both events. All the discussion devices were programmed in dual-use mode with the same camera prepositioning. Camera control was done by our partner using a third-party system. We had to be sure that the system would switch every time, with the right camera and the right preposition. Both systems worked in tandem without any issues. explains Conference Systems General Manager, Dan Pascu Dicentis interpreter desks with interpreter headphones were used for the simultaneous translations, which were distributed to participants via Integrus radiators. The largest issue faced by the Conference Systems team came from a late change at the Romanian NATO conference. “The biggest challenge was the fact that we had to connect two booths that had been located in another area of the Romanian Parliament,” recalls Pascu. “This transformed the original setup from 10 booths plus the original language in one room to 10 booths plus two further booths in a side room, plus the original language with all the functions for the remote interpreter desk enabled.” Conference Systems found out about this change just five days before the event. But thanks to the high flexibility of Dicentis and the company’s deep understanding of the technology, the event passed flawlessly. These were both great events for us and for our partners, and we are pleased to have exceeded the clients’ expectations. As CRN representative for Romania, we have once again proved the quality of the services provided by any CRN member on five continents when we rely on Dicentis. reflects Pascu / Share this on: Press Release Conference Systems Product news Conference and Discussion DICENTIS Conference System Press contact and Media Service Barbara Zelenay Global Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications KEENFINITY Tel +49 89 23120-1329 Send E-mail Karin Bräckle Spokesperson KEENFINITY Tel.: +49 89 231201949 Send E-mail Australia & NZ Contact us Apps & Tools Training Support Press Room Careers Compliance reporting Corporate information Terms and Conditions Privacy Policy Legal notice Privacy settings © KEENFINITY 2026",

To ensure that everything runs smoothly for its flagship event, the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) convenes a congress in the host city to make all the resolutions to facilitate the event, deciding on management, budgets, admitting national federations, ethics, and upholding the UCI constitution. Ahead of the championships in the city of Wollongong, Australia, the event organising committee called on the skill set of Congress Australia to ensure the smooth delivery of the UCI Congress. When it came to the conference solution, the Dicentis conference system by Bosch turned out to be the best solution for the event. Ensuring smooth communication The multi-day event in September took place across two venues in the city, Novotel Wollongong and The University of Wollongong. It required many different configurations for audio, visual and interpretation, as well as online access for remote delegates for a variety of meetings including the President’s conference, Management Committee, Junior Conference, and Main Congress. As a member of the Congress Rental Network (CRN), Congress Australia had suitable systems to answer all these challenges. The biggest need was that multilingual communication in English, Spanish and French at the event was flawless regardless of whether the delegate was there attending physically or remotely and that the hardware/software to facilitate it was not a thought or concern. The CRN network and Bosch conference product portfolio was able to provide several solutions that all worked together in a way that enabled delegates to communicate on this large of a scale, in multiple languages with no issues. The solution saw a combination of Dicentis and Dicentis Wireless conference devices across the two venues. To cover the interpretations requirements, Dicentis Interpreter desks and Integrus Pocket receivers were used to ensure participants could hear the event clearly in the language they chose. Other third-party solutions were then added to the Dicentis system such as ISO-certified isolation booths for the interpreters and video switching to ensure the PTZ cameras from Bosch integration partner Avonic automatically followed the live microphone to ensure a cohesive technical delivery. “Our experience and reputation as a CRN member made the client comfortable that we were able to handle the high-level event and cater for their needs,” concludes Michael Vrklevski from Congress Australia. “Our solution was of the highest quality in terms of AV technology and we were able to deliver one integrated solution, reducing complexity of sourcing each of these pieces individually.” / Share this on: Press Release Conference Systems Congress Rental Network Read more Congress rental Read more DICENTIS Conference System Read more Press contact and Media Service Barbara Zelenay Global Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications KEENFINITY Tel +49 89 23120-1329 Send E-mail Karin Bräckle Spokesperson KEENFINITY Tel.: +49 89 231201949 Send E-mail Australia & NZ Contact us Apps & Tools Training Support Press Room Careers Compliance reporting Corporate information Terms and Conditions Privacy Policy Legal notice Privacy settings © KEENFINITY 2026",

Held at the Exhibition and Convention Center (CEC), the three-day conference tackled issues such as the Agenda 2030 goal of ending hunger and extreme poverty around the world. Hosted by the President of Argentina, Mauricio Macri, the conference attracted more than 3,000 participants. Their collective goal: adopt a landmark road map towards sustainable development for all countries. With important issues for the future of “Global South” countries at stake, seamless interpretation between the six conference languages – English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese and Russian – was paramount to its success. Drawing on a track record of successful convention solutions, Congress Rental Argentina – a member of the Congress Rental Network and official conference partner of Bosch Building Technologies – designed and installed the temporary setup for the United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation. Working on a short timeline, the experts deployed a flexible system built around conference and simultaneous interpretation equipment from Bosch, including 490 DICENTIS Discussion devices with touchscreen used in dual mode, 12 DICENTIS Interpreter desks with video output and 16 DICENTIS Interpreter desks. “The different features of the management software mean that the same installation can have different configurations, and that made the work much easier; apart from being a system based on the network structure, it makes the installation architecture easier and more reliable,“ says Alejandro Iglesias, Chief Technology Officer of Congress Rental Argentina The large-scale temporary simultaneous interpretation setup using DICENTIS Interpreter desks proved successful. In the two large plenary rooms, delegates could join the discussion and choose their preferred interpretation language via the intuitive interface of their DICENTIS Discussion device with touchscreen. Following the client’s request, the devices were programmed to display the United Nations logo and the current speaker’s name on-screen. The audience listened in via 2,200 INTEGRUS Pocket receivers from Bosch, while live audio from the plenary rooms was also available in the press rooms. Clear audio broadcast was secured by INTEGRUS Radiator units for large-sized areas, as well as INTEGRUS Transmitters for eight languages. Inside the press conference room, listeners tuned into audio from the conference in their preferred languages via 150 INTEGRUS Pocket receivers, while the Press Media Center displayed video from the plenary rooms accompanied by audio on 200 INTEGRUS Pocket receivers. Bosch provided interpretation services in an easy-to-configure environment with minimal transition time between meetings. This was a perfect fit, because with a total of 16 meetings taking place during the three-day conference, Congress Rental Argentina needed the solution to offer solid operating stability and fast reprogramming of seats for each meeting. Overall, the temporary IP-based DICENTIS solution in Buenos Aires succeeded in providing stable and high-quality simultaneous interpretation services for the 3,000 participants of the United Nations Conference. “IP-based Bosch conference systems have proven to be highly reliable and that makes our customers trust us when choosing a provider for international meetings of this type.” Congress Rental Argentina Congress Rental Network (CRN) Congress Rental Argentina Share this on: Customer Stories Conference Systems Explore more Australia & NZ Contact us Apps & Tools Training Support Press Room Careers Compliance reporting Corporate information Terms and Conditions Privacy Policy Legal notice Privacy settings © KEENFINITY 2026",

The most recent event, PP-22, took place in Bucharest and was the largest to be held in Europe. Attracting 3,600 participants from 186 countries and lasting for three weeks from the end of September to mid-October, PP-22 required a large-scale conferencing solution that could deliver clear communication for the delegates alongside simultaneous interpretation into six languages. As would be expected from a high-level meeting of a standard-setting organization, PP-22 had precise technical specifications for the equipment that could be used. For the conferencing system, it was mandatory that ISO22259, ISO20109 and ISO 20108-compliant equipment was provided. To meet this challenge, ITU enlisted the support of Bucharest-based conferencing specialist Conference Systems SRL, a member of the Congress Rental Network (CRN) which chose to deploy a large Bosch Dicentis solution. Setting the agenda The conferencing solution for PP-22 needed to cover three rooms ranging in size from 400 to 2,000 participants, which all needed the same six interpretation languages and IR distribution. Covering these spaces would require the largest Dicentis solution to be deployed in Romania as a rental solution. As such, Conference Systems SRL called in the support of the Congress Rental Network to ensure that there would be enough equipment to enable the event to run smoothly. The Dicentis discussion device with touchscreen was the main component of the system with 500 devices deployed. Featuring a 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen and built in NFC reader for fast recognition of participants, the conference devices are configurable as a single participant, dual use, or chairperson’s device making them perfect for PP-22. Adding extra flexibility to the solution were 110 Dicentis wireless discussion devices with touchscreen. In addition to the same touchscreen and configuration options as its wired sibling, the device also features an option to display a personalized custom logo on the touch screen and a removable battery pack, making it easy to change and charge. The simultaneous translations were handled by 12 Dicentis interpreter desks with accompanying interpreter headphones. The translations were distributed to participants thanks to an Integrus wireless language distribution system that saw eight Integrus radiators and 550 Integrus pocket receivers alongside over 1,000 lightweight headphones. Conference Systems SRL took the approach of “tell us what you want to achieve, and it will be done” with its client. However, with the contract signed a few weeks before the event sourcing the volume of equipment required became the main challenge. Fortunately, this was solved thanks to Bosch delivering new equipment in a short timeframe alongside the added resources of the Congress Rental Network. As a result, the client only saw the success of a well-planned and delivered event. To ensure the three-week conference proceeded smoothly, a tech team from Conference Systems SRL was on site for the whole event. This team had worked with the ITU on a previous event and has in depth knowledge and experience using Dicentis. As a result, PP-22 was seen as a hugely successful event with ITU complementing the Conference Systems SRL team for their professionalism and competence. / Share this on: Press Release Conference Systems Congress and Exhibition Product news Conference and Discussion DICENTIS Conference System Press contact and Media Service Barbara Zelenay Global Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications KEENFINITY Tel +49 89 23120-1329 Send E-mail Karin Bräckle Spokesperson KEENFINITY Tel.: +49 89 231201949 Send E-mail Australia & NZ Contact us Apps & Tools Training Support Press Room Careers Compliance reporting Corporate information Terms and Conditions Privacy Policy Legal notice Privacy settings © KEENFINITY 2026",

Quietly sitting at the west end of Rawai Beach in Phuket is the Rawai Municipality Office, which oversees city surveillance projects to keep visitors, residents, and property secure and safe within the area. Challenge: Anticipating the unexpected Keeping tourists and residents safe on streets and in and around the water is a prime concern for Rawai municipality. With an increased focus on improving overall safety and surveillance in the region, the Rawai municipality needed to expand beyond monitoring and managing vehicle traffic. The city also needed to anticipate unexpected incidents on roadways and waterways, monitor and count people walking in and around shops, strolling along the beach, and crossing streets. On top of this, the Thailand government aims to transform the kingdom into a high-income nation with vastly improved quality of life in urban centers like Rawai. In line with the government's 4.0 initiative on smart cities, Rawai is working towards smart city development by investing in infrastructure, designing an open and secure city data platform, providing smart city solutions, and establishing a sustainable management model. The video solution needed to scale with this smart city initiative. Making data visible and usable for Rawai Rawai Municipality was already using Bosch cameras throughout the city to monitor suspicious activity, forestall crime, and support the lifeguards who play a crucial role in helping safeguard beaches. It was important to city officials to leverage their investment with Bosch by adding compatible software for visualizing data, monitoring crowd density, and supporting safe social distancing. To assist Rawai municipality, Bosch and Brilliant Tech Co., Ltd. recommended Intelligent Insights. This AIoT software solution aggregates and visualizes metadata from one or multiple Bosch cameras with built-in AI and pulls it into a single dashboard with intuitive widgets to support informed decision-making. Rawai beach is a popular gathering site to watch the sunset, and Bosch cameras monitor access into and out of Phromthep Cape, the southernmost point in the area. Using Intelligent Insights' people counting widget to count tourists who enter and exit the area and then display this number on a dashboard at the control center allows operators to see what's happening immediately. Intelligent Insights makes use of built-in AI from connected cameras to interpret video images and collect camera metadata. This information is gathered, aggregated, and displayed using a series of pre-defined widgets to visualize the data in real-time. A sudden or increased flow of people could indicate a serious situation. Operators can make informed decisions, react faster and more efficiently, and improve overall security and safety based on the data. Intelligent Insights uses only anonymous data from cameras, ensuring individual privacy is protected at all times. Intelligent Insights' object counting widget is used to accurately count the number of moving cars and motorcycles along the beach and display the data on the dashboard. This information is beneficial for operators to identify peak and low times on specific days or over a longer duration for future planning efforts. The license plate cameras and counting cameras are installed on Phuket's main road, Wiset Road. They are placed in three locations that link to other sub-districts in order to monitor traffic and municipal surveillance. During busy times, parking can be problematic. With Intelligent Insights’ occupancy counting widget, users can easily specify capacity limits within an area by setting the maximum number of vehicles that are allowed in a parking zone at a given time. Once the pre-defined capacity is reached, users are informed instantly. Alerts or public announcements can be activated using a camera relay. By using a camera’s built-in machine learning (Camera Trainer), the occupancy counting widget can also be tailored to count unoccupied parking spaces and advise when and where spaces might be available, helping enforce beach zoning rules. Intelligent Insights has provided Rawai municipality with an informative, easy-to-understand dashboard to manage traffic flow better and keep people safe. By Mr. Chatchai Khongmuang, Engineering Manager, Brilliant Tech Co., Ltd. What’s next for Rawai By the end of 2021, Brilliant Tech Co., Ltd. will have installed more than 200 Bosch AIoT video cameras equipped with Intelligent Insights to help operators respond before a potential situation occurs, deliver business intelligence beyond security, and improve the quality of life for all people in Rawai. Future plans will support the Phuket smart city project focusing on sustainable and smart development. In the second half of 2022, the Czech Government took on this responsibility and relied on Bosch conferencing and interpretation equipment due to its reliability and functionality to ensure that all 212 events that took place across the country during its presidency went on smoothly. The Czech Government selected AV Media Events, a member of the Congress Rental Network (CRN) to support the presidency events. The rental company was chosen due to its experience with modern Bosch conferencing equipment as well as its extensive stock of Dicentis and Integrus technology. Meeting requirements The EU issues strict guidelines for the equipment used at every meeting it hosts to ensure the same experience is delivered every time, no matter whether the meetings take place in historic venues such as the UNESCO-protected Litomyšl Castle and Prague Castle, or in more modern settings such as the Prague Congress Center and the O2 Universum. The Bosch conferencing equipment met the strict ISO standards required by the EU, making Dicentis and Integrus a preferred choice for European parliamentary events. Also, AV Media Events, who ensured that their team was fully up to date with the latest Bosch conferencing equipment through regular training sessions, convinced the EU to opt for Bosch. Importantly, the company could also build on experience with other Congress Rental Network (CRN) members that had already supported an EU Presidency. This community insight ensured that the Czech CRN representative would be able to get the best out of its Bosch conferencing equipment and deliver the level of service expected by the European Union. Flawless events The new Dicentis interpreter desks used in the interpretation booths were able to be integrated with the rental company’s stock of Integrus transmitters, radiators and pocket receivers for wireless language distribution, ensuring everyone could play an active role in the meetings. In addition to this the Dicentis conferencing devices provided the stability and functionality required by the EU in a modern format that suited the aesthetic of the events. Factors such as RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Technology) card authentication, voting capabilities and the ability to seamlessly integrate with the PTZ cameras in use meant that every meeting progressed smoothly. We accompanied the whole Czech presidency without any technological failures. The Czech Government’s organizing team was pleased with our services and with the smooth run of the whole job. The success of these events was achieved thanks to the reliable Bosch products and the support from our colleagues from the Congress Rental Network. says project manager Lukáš Vaněk from AV Media Events / Share this on: Press Release Conference Systems Congress and Exhibition Press News Conference Systems Cycling World Championships Congress in Australia trusts Dicentis conference systems from Bosch Press News Conference Systems Dicentis Conference System from Bosch facilitates top-level meetings in Europe Press News Conference Systems International Telecommunication Union sets its agenda thanks to Bosch conferencing systems Press contact and Media Service Barbara Zelenay Global Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications KEENFINITY Tel +49 89 23120-1329 Send E-mail Karin Bräckle Spokesperson KEENFINITY Tel.: +49 89 231201949 Send E-mail Australia & NZ Contact us Apps & Tools Training Support Press Room Careers Compliance reporting Corporate information Terms and Conditions Privacy Policy Legal notice Privacy settings © KEENFINITY 2026",

But none of the headlines captured the extraordinary work that took place behind the scenes. In just two weeks, leading events agency DDMC transformed the museum into one of the world’s most spectacular temporary conferencing venues while working with highly respected supplier Jacot Audiovisueel to create a user friendly, reliable and completely secure conferencing environment. Helping them to do so was the DICENTIS Conference System. Photo: Olivier Anbergen - I Love Light Bosch Conference – The Story of the 2018 NATO Summit in Brussels “The project was extremely prestigious, with all the world leaders plus the ministers of foreign affairs and defense – three rooms full of very important people. Nothing could go wrong. We only had two weeks for the build-up. But Jacot was founded for precisely this kind of project, and that’s why we use Bosch conference and discussion systems.” Mariëlle den Hertog, Rental Manager Jacot Audiovisueel Jacot was brought into the NATO project by DDMC, the renowned events specialist whose Technical Director, Gert Roscam, recalls that “the nature of the event required the latest technologies. But to get all of this equipment in time and in such large volumes was a real challenge”. The answer presented itself in the shape of the Congress Rental Network (CRN). By drawing on the stock of fellow CRN members, Jacot was able to provide a full solution within the short timeframe. As the delegates sat down for dinner, the DICENTIS Conference System was awaiting them. The world leaders, ministers of defense and ministers of foreign affairs each split off into their own dedicated meeting rooms. A total of 38 multimedia devices were deployed for the world leaders, plus 38 more for the ministers of foreign affairs, and 38 DICENTIS Discussion devices with touchscreens serving the ministers of defense. Each of the three rooms was also equipped with six OMNEO interfaces plus 20 DICENTIS Interpreter desks. “We used 38 microphones for each of the three conference rooms, and we designed the systems to use 20 different channels for each room,” explains Jacot Project Manager, Kevin Dijkstra.” Crucially, the DICENTIS Conference System needed to facilitate a user-friendly yet truly secure environment. “No signal, so sound, no bit of information could leak out. We had to do a risk assessment with every device and every cable,” says Dijkstra. “There was no opportunity to explain any of the technology, it needed to be intuitive,” adds DDMC Production Director, Stijn Snaet. “We were looking for the best equipment available and the DICENTIS Conference System is the best that you can get.” Gert Roscam, Technical Director, DDMC The museum itself added further complexity. The exhibits had been removed, but the historical building needed to be treated with care. Jacot’s Ruben Knelange took an innovative approach to running cables. “We went over the roof,” he declares. “We pulled the cables up through the windows, walked them over to where the interpreter booths were located and dropped them back down!” After weeks of intense preparation, the event was declared a success. “It was a once in lifetime opportunity. Jacot and Bosch were by far the best selection and we were very happy with them.” Stijn Snaet, Production Director, DDMC Congress Rental Network (CRN) DDMC Event Design Jacot Audiovisueel Share this on: Customer Stories Conference Systems Explore more Australia & NZ Contact us Apps & Tools Training Support Press Room Careers Compliance reporting Corporate information Terms and Conditions Privacy Policy Legal notice Privacy settings © KEENFINITY 2026",

Today, suspicious incidents are monitored and managed seamlessly across all four terminals from a single control room. Challenge: Improving security solutions To cope with growing passenger volume, Cancun Airport, Mexico’s second largest, added a fourth terminal. This might have made security management more complex, as 600 video cameras were installed in the new Terminal 4, in addition to the 1,300 cameras already in Terminals 1-3. The airport’s operator, Aeropuertos Del Sureste (ASUR), chose instead to simplify things and so created a unified video security solution. Instead of distributed control centers, there is one which manages every camera across all operations: from security check, waiting area and shops to the airport perimeter, access points as well as the airfield, tower and runway. Having a single control room now means that security operators need not toggle from one screen to another or one system to the other during an incident. Monitoring and management happens in one place and on one system. This avoids the unacceptable disruption of following a suspicious person and then losing him or her as the suspect moves from the cameras of one video management system to another. Solution: All cameras on a single platform Integration was the answer to creating a centralized security system. A single platform operates the existing cameras as well as the newly installed ones. Bosch was selected to both, supply the new ones and integrate them with the existing ones into a video surveillance solution that can be managed centrally. This latter was accomplished by implementing the Bosch Video Management System (BVMS) as a joint platform. Moreover, the Bosch Video Recording Manager (VRM) was included to enable direct recording of video onto storage devices. This eliminates potential single points of failure, saves costs and limits maintenance. As a result, live- and playback-video of all terminals is always available for use by security operators. Benefits: Delivering security holistically, not in pieces Centralized security improves the airport’s communication and coordination. Most importantly, it makes the security system much more efficient and better at its main job: ensuring passenger safety and security. Now the airport can be monitored across all terminals, seamlessly, from an individual baggage check to a remote access point to a waiting area – anywhere. By monitoring the whole picture, the airport is in much better control of overall security. There are no more blind spots, security inside and outside is commanded centrally, everything is coordinated and aligned. In making sure airport expansion does not compromise security, Cancun sets an example by integrating all systems into just one. Further, except as otherwise agreed in writing, Bosch reserves the right at any time and without notice to impose a limit on the amount of products you may purchase. 1.9 Bosch may, in its discretion, agree that orders may be given by you to Bosch by EDI. In addition, unless otherwise agreed, you assume the responsibility and costs of export formalities. 2.5 Each amount quoted by Bosch is the goods and services tax ( GST ) exclusive amount, unless specifically described as 'GST inclusive'. 3. GST 3.1 Words or expressions used in this clause 3 which are defined in the A New Tax System, (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 (Cth) have the same meaning in this clause. 3.2 Despite any other clause in these Terms, if a party makes a supply ( Supplier ) under or in connection with the Contract on which GST is payable (not being a supply the consideration for which is specifically described as 'GST inclusive'): (a) the consideration payable or to be provided for that supply but for the application of this clause ( GST exclusive consideration ) is increased by, and the recipient of the supply ( Recipient ) must also pay to the Supplier, an amount equal to the GST exclusive consideration multiplied by the prevailing rate of GST ( GST Amount ); and (b) subject to clauses 3.3 and 19.2, the GST Amount must be paid to the Supplier by the Recipient without set off, deduction or requirement for demand, at the same time as the GST exclusive consideration is payable or to be provided. 3.3 The Recipient need not pay the GST Amount in respect of a taxable supply made under or in connection with the Contract until the Supplier has given the Recipient a tax invoice in respect of that taxable supply. 4. Terms of Payment 4.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing (by you submitting an Application for Opening of a Credit Account form which is accepted by Bosch) or otherwise stated in any Quotation issued by Bosch, payment must be made by you without set off or deduction by electronic funds transfer to a bank account nominated by Bosch no later than the date of delivery of the products ( Due Date ). In all instances, Bosch reserves the right to make delivery of the products conditional upon contemporaneous payment, payment of progress claims or, subject to Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the corresponding provisions of the applicable state Fair Trading Acts ( Australian Consumer Law ), on pre- payment of the price. 4.2 If you fail to make a payment by the Due Date, Bosch may: (a) charge interest on the overdue account at the rate fixed under section 2 of the Penalty Interest Rates Act 1983 (Vic); (b) refuse to make any further deliveries under the Contract until the amount due has been paid; and/or (c) if the amount due remains unpaid after Bosch, providing 7 days’ notice to you of such breach, treat your failure to make payments as a repudiation of the Contract by you. Such repudiation shall entitle Bosch to elect, without prejudice to any of its other rights, to terminate the Contract in whole or in part (including any order or part of an order) and, in either case, to recover damages for the breach of the Contract. 4.3 Bosch may allocate all amounts received by you in any manner it determines including any manner required to preserve any personal property security interest in the products. 5. Bosch is not bound by any completion or delivery dates specified in a Quotation. 5.4 Bosch will endeavour to effect delivery in any time stated in writing and otherwise within a reasonable period. Bosch will endeavour to deliver all products the subject of an order at the same time. However, where this is not possible, in order to minimise any detriment that may be caused to you, Bosch will deliver products to you by instalments within a reasonable period of time. 5.5 If, at your request, delivery of any products is delayed after notification by Bosch to you that the products are ready for delivery, you agree to pay any reasonable storage costs incurred by Bosch. 2 5.6 If Bosch fails to deliver in accordance with clause 5.4 by reason of: (a) inability to obtain supplies of the products (where it is not the manufacturer) or materials or parts from approved sources; (b) import or export restrictions; (c) any strike or combination of worker, shortage of labour or lockout; (d) any fault of yours; or (e) any other event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Bosch, Bosch may at its option cancel any order, the Contract or any unfulfilled part of an order or extend the time for its performance or completion by the time lost because of the event preventing or delaying delivery. Bosch shall not be liable for delay in delivery of the products or services as a result of any of the causes set out in this clause 5.6. 5.7 In the case of delivery of products with respect to which it has been agreed to use returnable packaging, packing materials or pallets, you must return to Bosch such items within a reasonable period of time, failing which you may be charged for their replacement cost. 6. Notification of Faults and Returns 6.1 You must examine the products supplied by Bosch on delivery or collection. 6.2 You shall notify Bosch of any shortfall in the number of products to be supplied under an order within 48 hours of receipt of the products (unless the products are delivered by instalment in accordance with clause 5.4, in which case you shall notify Bosch of any shortfall within 48 hours of receipt of the final instalment of products). Failure to notify Bosch shall result in the loss of any rights you may have against Bosch for the shortage. 6.3 You shall within 7 days of each delivery of products, give full particulars in writing to Bosch of any matter or thing in relation to any delivery which is not in accordance with the terms of any order (other than any shortfall to which clause 6.2 applies). Failing such , you shall be bound to pay for the products and, except where you are a Consumer (as that term is defined in the Australian Consumer Law), then the products shall be deemed in all respects to have complied with such order. 6.4 Any products that are not defective, not in breach of a Consumer Guarantee (as that term is used in the Australian Consumer Law) or not supplied in error and which otherwise comply with the order may not be returned to Bosch by you for credit, except where agreed by Bosch in writing at its discretion. If Bosch agrees to accept the return of any such products, you agree that the products must be new, undamaged, in a saleable condition and not shopsoiled and that Bosch may deduct any reasonable costs it has incurred in processing the return. 7. Risk 7.1 Products shall be at your risk upon you or your agent or carrier taking physical possession of the products. 7.2 Bosch shall not be liable for any such loss, deterioration or damage caused to the products after risk passing. 8. Property 8.1 Except where otherwise agreed, any tooling acquired, created or commissioned by Bosch for the purpose of supplying any products to you and any other signage, sample product, equipment or other goods loaned to you by Bosch from time to time will remain the property of Bosch. 8.2 Title in products supplied by Bosch will only pass to you upon you paying, in cleared funds, to Bosch the full purchase price of all products supplied to you by Bosch under the order and any other sums outstanding from you to Bosch under the Contract. 8.3 If you: (a) default in paying any sums due to Bosch under any order; or (b) are an individual and become insolvent, bankrupt, commit any act of bankruptcy, compound with or enter into any compromise or arrangement with your creditors or if a mortgagee takes possession of any of your assets; or (c) are a company and have a provisional liquidator, liquidator, receiver, receiver and manager, trustee for creditors or in bankruptcy, administrator or analogous person appointed to you or your property, or if a mortgagee takes possession of any of your assets; or (d) are otherwise unable to pay your debts as and when they fall due, any amount to become due under the Contract shall become immediately due and payable and you shall not sell or otherwise deal with any products in your possession and, upon Bosch’s request, you will return the products to Bosch immediately. 8.4 Subject to clause 8.3, you are authorised to sell the products in the ordinary course of business and shall hold the proceeds of any sales separately from your own moneys and Bosch has a security interest in those proceeds, provided that such authority may be revoked by notice from Bosch at any time if Bosch considers your creditworthiness to be unsatisfactory or if you are in default in the performance of your obligations under the Contract or any other agreement between Bosch or any of its related body corporate as that term is defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) ( Related Company ) and you. Such authority shall be deemed automatically revoked if you satisfy clause 8.3. 8.5 You shall, if required by Bosch, store separately those products in respect of which title is retained by Bosch and shall clearly identify such products as the property of Bosch. Bosch shall, upon revoking its authority contained in clause 8.4 or such authority being automatically revoked under clause 8.3, have the irrevocable right to enter upon the premises where the products are situated, or where Bosch suspects the products are situated, without committing a trespass and take possession of and remove the products (or in accordance with clause 8.6, any products owned by you into which they become incorporated) even though they may have been attached to other goods or land which is not your property, and to use your name and to act on your behalf to recover possession of Bosch's products. You will remain liable to Bosch for the price of any damaged, used, incomplete, broken or obsolete products that Bosch determines have no commercial value or are unable to be resold and for the difference in the original purchase price agreed by you from actual resale value. Bosch may also require you to pay its reasonable costs in exercising any of its rights under this clause 8.5 together with any related costs such as transportation, repackaging or any other relevant loss suffered or incurred by it as a result of exercising its rights under this clause. 8.6 If the products in which title is held by Bosch are to become a fixture or fittings of any real property owned by you or any other person, you acknowledge, or where you do not own the real property to which the products are to be affixed, shall procure the owner to acknowledge, and in either case shall procure any mortgagee of such real property to acknowledge that, notwithstanding such incorporation, such products remain the property of Bosch until title in the products passes to you, and that all rights of Bosch set out in these Terms remain. 9. Personal Property Securities Register 9.1 You acknowledge and agree that: (a) the Contract constitutes a security agreement; (b) in accordance with clause 8 of these Terms, you grant Bosch a security interest (as defined in the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) ( PPSA )) in all products supplied by Bosch and the proceeds thereof as security for payment of the purchase price of the products and services and all other moneys payable to Bosch by you; (c) Bosch may apply to register and register any security interests created under the Contract on public registers including the Personal Property Securities Register (as defined in the PPSA) ( PPSR ) at any time before or after delivery of the products by Bosch; (d) Bosch may use and/or disclose any information provided by you to register any security interest on public registers. Such disclosure is only authorised to the extent necessary in connection with an exercise of rights under the Contract or a transfer or other dealing with rights or obligations under the Contract, or to Bosch’s officers, employees, agents, contractors, legal and other advisors and auditors, or in accordance with your consent (not to be unreasonably withheld) or as required by any law (other than section 275(1) of the PPSA unless section 275(7) of the PPSA applies) or as required by any stock exchange or rating agency; (e) you will do anything that Bosch requires and will promptly give Bosch all assistance and information (including signing any documents) as it requests to ensure that Bosch has a perfected first ranking security interest in all products supplied by it to you (and the proceeds thereof); (f) Bosch need not give you any notice unless such notice is required by the PPSA and cannot be excluded; (g) if Chapter 4 of the PPSA would otherwise apply to the enforcement of the security interest created under this Contract, the following provisions of the PPSA do not apply: section 95; subsection 121(4); section 125; section 130; paragraph 132(3)(d); subsection 132(4); section 135; section 142; and section 143; (h) you will not change your name without notifying Bosch in writing at least 10 business days prior to doing so; and (i) you must indemnify Bosch for any costs incurred by it under this clause 9. 9.2 You and Bosch agree that, without limiting Bosch’s rights under clause 8.3, neither party will disclose any of the information set out in section 275(1) of the PPSA in relation to any security interest created under the Contract to any person (except that Bosch may do so where required due to the operation of section 275(7) of the PPSA). 10. Insurance 10.1 Until property in the products passes to you, you shall keep the products insured, with Bosch noted as an additional insured and will produce upon demand evidence of the existence of such insurance as Bosch may require. If you default in the performance of your obligations under this clause 10, Bosch may insure the products and the cost of effecting such insurance shall be payable by you on demand. 10.2 If any products are damaged or destroyed prior to property in them passing to you, Bosch shall be entitled, without prejudice to any of its rights or remedies under these Terms, to receive all insurance proceeds which are payable in respect thereof (whether or not the purchase price of such products has become payable under these Terms) and the production of these Terms by Bosch shall be sufficient evidence of its right to receive payment of such insurance proceeds without the need for further enquiry by any person dealing with Bosch. Any such insurance proceeds shall be applied by Bosch as follows: (a) first, in payment of the purchase price of the products which are damaged or destroyed, if unpaid; (b) secondly, in payment of the outstanding purchase price of any other products supplied to you by Bosch, whether under these Terms or otherwise; and (c) thirdly, in payment of any other sums payable to Bosch by you whether under these Terms or otherwise. 11. Intellectual Property 11.1 All intellectual property rights in or relating to products or services supplied by Bosch, including in relation to the development, manufacture, use, operation, repair or maintenance of the products, and in or in relation to any Bosch-licensed, commissioned or created tooling, materials, drawings, samples, reports, work results and other documents, remains at all times the sole and exclusive property of Bosch or its licensor. 11.2 Except where you are a Consumer and the claim arises as a result of Bosch's breach of a Consumer Guarantee to you, Bosch is not liable for 3 any claims arising from an actual or alleged infringement of a third party’s intellectual property rights where: (a) such claim arises due to Bosch agreeing to supply the product or services in accordance with your specifications or using Your Materials; (b) the actual or alleged infringement of the intellectual property rights is due to use of Bosch’s product in conjunction with another product not supplied by Bosch; (c) the products or work results produced by Bosch in providing the services are used in a way which could not have been foreseen by Bosch, or (d) (in the case of patents) unless at least one intellectual property right from the property right family has been published under the European Patent Office or in one of the following countries: Germany, France, Great Britain, Austria or the USA. 11.3 If Bosch supplies any products or services in accordance with your specifications or using Your Materials, you shall indemnify Bosch from and against all actions, claims, demands, costs, expenses and liabilities arising in connection with any alleged or actual infringement of the intellectual property rights of a third party. 11.4 You shall not, and shall ensure that your officers, employees or agents do not: (a) use any trademark owned or licensed by Bosch, or any substantially identical or misleadingly similar words, in a company name, business name, domain name or email address; (b) apply to register a company name, business name or domain name which incorporates any trademark owned or licensed by Bosch, or any substantially identical or misleadingly similar words; (c) use any logo, mark or any other promotional material owned by or licensed to Bosch in any promotional materials without its prior written consent, and only then subject to Bosch’s directions in relation to any use of the trademarks which may be published at www.bosch.com.au/terms as amended from time to time; or (d) do anything which a reasonable person should identify is likely to unreasonably damage the reputation of Bosch or any of its trademarks or products or services. 12. Express Warranties 12.1 This clause 12 will not apply to a Consumer. Any warranty against defects (as this term is defined under the Australian Consumer Law) which is offered by Bosch to a Consumer will be provided in the product warranty (if any) separately supplied with the product, which is in addition to (and not in limitation of) any rights a Consumer may have under the Australian Consumer Law. 12.2 This clause does not apply in respect of any consumable or accessory products sold by Bosch. This clause does not apply to supplies of the kind referred to in clause 15, except to the extent specifically stated in that clause. 12.3 Bosch warrants to you that products or services sold by it to you for use or resale in Australia or New Zealand (or other country as may be agreed by Bosch in writing for the purpose of this warranty) conform to the agreed specifications (subject to clause 12.4) and are free from material faults and defects (subject to clause 12.5). 12.4 With respect to products developed or manufactured by Bosch for your particular requirements and which are not the subject of published product specifications issued by Bosch, Bosch does not warrant measurements, dimensions, weights, and drawings provided for products but only that the products will conform to agreed tolerance standards. 12.5 The warranty that products are free from material faults and defects will not apply to the extent any defect cannot be discovered due to the state of scientific or technical knowledge or has been disclosed as a feature or limitation of the products in any product specifications published by Bosch. 12.6 With the exception of any products that may have been sold by Bosch to you by description or sample, Bosch does not warrant that the products shall conform to that description or sample and products shall be accepted by you even though alterations in design or construction have been introduced by Bosch between the date of the description or provision of the sample and delivery of the product to you. 12.7 Bosch assumes a warranty of fitness for a particular purpose with respect to a product supplied by it only if such particular purpose has been expressly stated in writing by you, and Bosch has expressly accepted a warranty of fitness for such purpose. 12.8 The duration (and any other details) of the express warranties referred to in this clause shall be agreed upon a product-specific basis. Unless otherwise agreed by Bosch in writing, the express warranties in this clause shall apply: (a) in the case of products: as specified in the Quotation for the supply of such product to you, or if no warranty period is so specified, for a period of 6 months, from the date of delivery of the products to you. However, in no case shall these express warranties to you extend beyond the date you sell or otherwise dispose of the product; or (b) in the case of services: for a period of 6 months after delivery of the services. 12.9 Claims under the express warranties provided under this clause 12 must be made with Bosch’s Service Centre or in writing to Bosch within 7 days of such claim arising. Repair or replacement shall not extend nor renew the warranty period. 12.10 The express warranties in relation to products under this clause 12 shall not apply to a defect which it arises: (a) due to storage, handling or installation of the products other than in accordance with instructions provided by Bosch or without reasonable care; (b) due to operation, use or maintenance of the products other than in accordance with instructions provided by Bosch or without reasonable care; (c) due to repairs, alterations or modifications to the products which have been performed by a third party, or due to the use of any spare parts not manufactured, sold or approved by Bosch in connection with repairs, alterations or modifications of the products, which occurred without Bosch’s authorisation; (d) due to accidental damage or to use of the products for a purpose or in environmental conditions for which the products were not designed or sold or use of the product outside the specified or normal operating ranges for such products; (e) as a result of changes which occur in the condition or operational qualities of the products due to climate or other environmental influence, foreign material contamination or water entry; (f) from normal wear and tear or when replacement or repair of parts would be part of normal maintenance or service of the products (such as in the case of spark plugs, lenses, globes and glassware, bushes, bearings, drive assemblies, ignition contact sets, caps, rotors, condensers, brushes, fuses and similar parts) or where the damage is only to surface coating, varnish and enamel; or (g) from, or is attributable to, Your Materials or your specifications or instructions for the products or services, nor will the express warranties in relation to products under this clause 12 apply in cases where the products suffer damage caused by continued use of the products after it is known they are defective. 12.11 If requested by Bosch, you shall return to Bosch any products claimed to be defective under clause 12 or 13 of these Terms. If the products are found to be defective, Bosch will bear your reasonable expenses in making the warranty claim, including the reasonable cost of transport for returning the defective products to Bosch. 13. Product Recall 13.1 You agree to inform Bosch as soon as possible if you believe that any product supplied by Bosch may be unsafe or hazardous or does not conform, in whole or in part, with the technical specifications (if any) provided for in an order or other mandatory specifications imposed by law ( Non-Conforming Product ). You will also notify Bosch as soon as possible after you have been informed of incidents, accidents, or property damage allegedly caused by Non-Conforming Products. 13.2 The parties acknowledge and agree that Non-Conforming Products may need to be recalled. Subject to any applicable law, the parties shall consult with each other in respect to: (a) a product recall prior to instituting any recall campaign, in particular any campaign in relation to which you may seek reimbursement from Bosch under this clause 13; and (b) any response to inquiries from any Federal or State agency relating to the Non-Conforming Products. 13.3 Each of the parties will cooperate with, and provide reasonable assistance to, the other party in investigating any allegation(s) that a product is a Non-Conforming Product. If requested, you shall provide to Bosch all relevant information available to you regarding an alleged Non- Conforming Product including reports, tests witness statements and, where possible, the Non-Conforming Product in question for the purpose of inspection and testing. No party is required to disclose material or documents which attract legal professional privilege. 13.4 In the event of a recall campaign, Bosch shall negotiate a fair and mutually acceptable reimbursement for all direct recall related expenses in respect of the Non-Conforming Products. This is subject to clause 14 and on the understanding that the portion of the expenses to be borne by Bosch shall be proportional to the degree to which the nonconformity of the products sold by Bosch caused the recall. 14. Exclusion of Liability 14.1 Except for those rights and remedies that you have in respect of the products and services under the Australian Consumer Law which cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, all warranties, conditions and guarantees, whether statutory or otherwise, are excluded in relation to the products and services. 14.2 Subject to clause 14.3, Bosch’s liability to you in respect of all claims, actions, demands, proceedings, liabilities, damages, amounts, costs and expenses arising, paid, suffered or incurred by you (directly or indirectly) as a result of or in connection with a negligent act or omission of Bosch, any breach or non-performance of any express or implied obligation of Bosch under these Terms or a Contract or in any way related to the products or services or information or advice supplied in respect of the products and services shall be limited, at Bosch's option: (a) in the case of the products (or parts thereof) to the repair or replacement of the products (or the parts) or the supply of equivalent products (or parts) or the payment of the cost of having the products (or parts) repaired or replaced or having equivalent products (or parts) supplied and, (b) in the case of services, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having the services supplied again. 14.3 For the avoidance of doubt, subject to clause 14.4, Bosch excludes any liability for legal costs and disbursements on a solicitor and own client basis and, without limitation, any indirect or consequential expense, loss or damage, loss of profits, revenue, use, expectation or opportunity, wasted expenditure, lost production or similar losses suffered by you under or in connection with these Terms. 14.4 If you are a Consumer, the liability of Bosch will not be limited in the way set out in clause 14.3 if it is not 'fair and reasonable' for Bosch to rely on such limitations in accordance with sections 64A(3) and (4) of the Australian Consumer Law, the products and services supplied are goods or services 'of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption' as that expression is used in section 3 of the Australian Consumer Law or in relation to any Consumer Guarantee pursuant to sections 51, 52 and 53 of the Australian Consumer Law. 4 14.5 Insofar as any breach of an express warranty under clause 12 is concerned, Bosch shall also repair or replace any other product (or part) supplied by it damaged as a result of the defective product. 14.6 Without limitation to any other right Bosch may have under these Terms, you agree that in respect of Bosch, its officers, employees and agents you will be liable for any claims, suits, actions, demands, loss, costs, liabilities, expenses (including reasonable legal expenses), judgments or awards made against or incurred by any such persons arising from a breach of these Terms or the Contract on the part of you, your agents, employees, principals and/or contractors. 15. Third Party Products On-Sold By Bosch 15.1 Subject to any rights a Consumer may have under the Australian Consumer Law, where the products sold to you by Bosch under these Terms are not manufactured by Bosch nor are sold under a name, brand or mark under which Bosch carries on business: (a) the products are as described on the order; (b) all specifications, drawings, and particulars of weights and dimensions submitted to you, whether contained in catalogues, price lists or other advertising matter, are approximate only and do not form part of the Contract or form part of the description applied to the products; (c) Bosch shall not be liable for any alteration or variation in the products from such published specifications which are made available with respect to the products; (d) with the exception of clauses 12.6 and 12.7, clause 12 of these Terms does not apply; and (e) Bosch agrees to assign to you, on your request, the benefit of any warranty that the manufacturer has granted to Bosch under any contract or by implication or operation of law to the extent that the benefit of any warranty or entitlement is assignable. 16. Export Control and Restricted Products 16.1 The sale, resale or other disposition of products and any related technology or documentation are subject to the export control laws, regulations and orders of Australia and may be subject to the export and/or import control laws and regulations of other countries. You agree to comply with all such laws, regulations and orders and acknowledge that you shall not directly or indirectly export any products to any country to which such export or transmission is restricted or prohibited. You acknowledge your responsibility to obtain any license to export, re-export or import as may be required. 16.2 Bosch shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from controls referred to in clause 16.1 or any other restrictions imposed on the resale or use of the products by other legislation. 16.3 If the manufacture or use or sale of the products shall be forbidden or restricted by any competent government authority, any costs or expenses incurred by Bosch in connection with any contract for manufacture, use or sale shall be paid by you. 17. Termination 17.1 Bosch may terminate or suspend the Contract (or any part thereof, including any order or part of any order) if you are in breach of: (a) the Contract, and you remain in breach after receiving 7 days notice from Bosch of such breach; (b) any other agreement with Bosch or a Related Company, and you remain in breach after receiving 7 days notice from Bosch of such breach; or (c) in the event a default is triggered under clause 8.3(b) to (d). 17.2 You must, and warrant that you will: (a) comply with all applicable laws in relation to the conduct of your business including laws relating to anti-money laundering, bribery and corruption; (b) ensure that your actions or omissions do not cause Bosch to be in breach of any applicable laws; and (c) immediately notify Bosch of any breach of this clause 17.2. 17.3 Bosch may, without liability to you and in addition to its rights pursuant to clause 17.1, immediately terminate or suspend the Contract and any outstanding orders if you or any of your employees or representatives: (a) are charged with any criminal offence in relation to money laundering, bribery or corruption; or (b) act in a manner which, in Bosch's reasonable opinion, could bring Bosch into disrepute; or (c) act dishonestly, fraudulently or illegally. 17.4 Upon termination of this Contract for any reason whatsoever, you must: (a) immediately pay all amounts owing to Bosch; and (b) immediately cease displaying or using any of Bosch’s intellectual property including, where applicable, any brand materials of Bosch ( IP Materials ) and must immediately return such IP Materials to Bosch. Should you fail to comply, you hereby irrevocably consent to Bosch exercising all rights associated with retrieving the IP Materials pursuant to clause 8.5 (as if the IP Materials were products). 18. Confidentiality of Bosch’s Information 18.1 You agree to keep confidential Bosch’s financial, technological (including designs, drawings, specifications and technical handbooks), strategic, financial and business information, disclosed in the course of, or arising from, the Contract ( Confidential Information ). 18.2 All Confidential Information remains the property of Bosch and may only be used by you in fulfilling your rights and obligations under the Contract. Otherwise, no Confidential Information may be disclosed to any third party without Bosch’s prior written consent. 18.3 You agree to effect and maintain adequate security measures to safeguard the Confidential Information from access or use by any unauthorised person and not to disclose any terms of the Contract or Confidential Information except where disclosure is necessary to comply with the Contract or any other agreement between the parties, or if the disclosure is required by law. 18.4 You must, on becoming aware of any breach of confidentiality, immediately inform Bosch, investigate the breach and report to Bosch as to the outcome of the investigation. 18.5 Upon termination of this Contract for any reason whatsoever, you must immediately return or destroy (at Bosch’s direction) all Confidential Information. 19. Set Off 19.1 The parties agree that the account between the parties is a running account. 19.2 Where any amount is payable by Bosch to you under the Contract, including an amount owing by way of rebate, Bosch may set such amount off against any amount owed to Bosch or to a Related Company by you, and continue to do so until such time as the amount outstanding from you has been paid in full. 20. General 20.1 All the original rights, powers, exemptions and remedies of Bosch shall remain in full force notwithstanding any neglect, forbearance or delay in the enforcement thereof. Bosch shall not be deemed to have waived any condition unless such waiver shall be in writing under signature of Bosch or an authorised officer thereof and any such waiver, unless the contrary shall be expressly stated, shall apply to and operate only in a particular transaction, dealing or matter. 20.2 Any provision of these Terms will be read down to the extent necessary to prevent that provision or these Terms being invalid, voidable or unenforceable in the circumstances. 20.3 You must not assign or subcontract all or any of your rights or obligations under the Contract without the prior written consent of Bosch. 20.4 To the extent Bosch supplies any products or services through one or more of its Related Companies, those Related Companies will have the benefit of these Terms and any Contract and be included as a beneficiary in the definition of “Bosch” as appropriate. 20.5 A notice to be given by a party to the other party under the Contract must be in writing, directed to the party’s address as specified in the Contract (or to such other address notified in writing by the receiving party) and left at or sent by prepaid registered post or hand delivery to that address.
